The team led by Executive Chef Manish Bahukhandi guarantees the finest North Indian cuisine. Chef Bahukhandi is internationally recognized as one of the most prominent representatives of Indian “rustic cuisine” and has been secured exclusively for the INDIA CLUB. We invite you to experience North Indian cuisine as you would only find it in London or India itself. In our clay tandoor ovens—a rarity in this country—we cook bread, meat, and vegetables in a way that preserves vitamins, resulting in aromatic and healthy dishes.
Those who appreciate Indian cuisine also enjoy meatless dishes, which is why the INDIA CLUB offers an exceptionally wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes featuring a myriad of Indian spices—with turmeric, ginger, black mustard, cardamom, cumin, saffron, curry, cloves, cinnamon, and mint, guests are transported into the world of Indian spices.

INTERIOR DESIGN BY ANNE MARIA JAGDFELD,
For the design of the space, Anne Maria Jagdfeld—who is also responsible for the interior of the CHINA CLUB BERLIN—drew inspiration from the diversity of Indian colors and patterns, translating them into a vibrant spatial concept with a distinctive style.
Heavy mahogany furniture in the British colonial style, dark wood paneling, and traditional, custom-made, burnished jalis provide the interior with a calm, elegant foundation. In striking contrast to this are bold colors, traditional patterns, and ornaments that lend the room a distinctive Indian flair. Handcrafted mosaic tables with geometric patterns in shades of yellow, green, and red add deliberate accents. The intricate inlays evoke traditional Indian craftsmanship and give each table its own, almost ornamental radiance. Chandeliers in red, yellow, orange, blue, and purple, as well as the staff’s colorful uniforms, echo this color palette and underscore the vibrant overall impression.

In keeping with tradition, the INDIA CLUB does not serve beef or pork, but instead offers chicken, lamb, duck, fish, and seafood. The poultry and lamb are of high organic quality and come exclusively from animal-welfare-compliant farming at the organic farm Gut Vorder Bollhagen which is run by the Jagdfeld family, owners of the INDIA CLUB restaurant, on the Mecklenburg coast of the Baltic Sea near Heiligendamm.
